Basked smoke
Thoughts brawled within the ashes
Loud blaring, silenced.
Our eyes can’t find each other.
Our thoughts are steaming,
Enmeshing among our souls,
Slithering to squeeze out of our pores.
Are we even looking for each other?
You are floating among suspended waters
I am swimming atop stiffened magma
Once we saw each other everything that mattered
Curved to leer at a semblance of embrace.
